Dairy alternatives are about to become far more attractive, with a new ingredient which will make them more nutritious and help improve their overall texture.
The ingredient is called Plant-Dairy Protein, and it comes from the people at Green Boy Group. It will be used in vegan friendly dairy alternatives, such as cheese, yoghurt and spreads.
According to a statement highlighting its launch, Plant Dairy Protein “has a neutral flavor profile, enhances mouthfeel, boosts nutritional properties and enlarges the textured aspects in plant-based dairy products.”
Frederik Otten, co-founder of Green Boy Group, discussed how this product is a game changer for vegan friendly dairy alternatives.
He said: “Our customers want to create the ultimate plant-based cheese, yoghurt or spread. As the market leader in the plant-based protein segment we have the technical know-how, experience and capability to supply the industry via Plant-Dairy Protein with a versatile range of functional plant-based protein in terms of superior texture, flavor profile, mouthfeel and protein enhancement.”
Green Boy Group co-founder Peter van Dijken displayed a similar enthusiasm, explaining what brought this product’s development to the fore.
He said: “After our introduction of Plant-Meat Protein in the US and EU last summer, and the tremendous market interest that followed, we were approached by a lot of plant-based dairy producers” says Green Boy Group co-founder Peter van Dijken “the only logical step for us was to develop a functional plant-based protein that specifically caters to the plant-based dairy needs.”
Plant-Dairy Protein is also non-GMO. The Green Boy Group is based in Europe, the United States and Australia.
