Covid-19 pandemic saw many game releases delayed and pushed to 2021.
As the trend continues and people continue to work from home, trust us to keep you posted on new game releases or postponement announcements.
Some of the game releases to look forward to this year include:
1. New World Amazon MMO
Amazon had set to release the MMO in 2020, which had to be postponed with the soaring rate of the pandemic. After three release date postponements, the game is now set to be released on September 28, 2021.
The announcement came after the just concluded closed beta, where the developers asked for more time to fix bugs and quality issues.
The MMO enthusiasts remain hopeful that this time the launch won’t be delayed given the short duration that the developers requested.
The closed beta testers inform that it was rather difficult to farm or obtain New World Coins, yet alone to level to 60, which prompted some to sell their very own New World account.
2. Death loop by FPS Sandbox
Death loop is set to be released on September 14 as the adventure continues and stakes high. This time, the game offers a more thrilling adventure.
Colt, who is the master assassin, is tasked with killing all the eight targets in a 24-hour time frame. Failure to subdue the eight will have you starting over.
The game is set on the Blackreef island, where Colt is expected to sneak and plan on how to assassinate his eight targets.
3. Far Cry 6
Yes, Far Cry is back. On October 7, Far Cry is expected to make a major comeback. This time featuring in a fictitious Caribbean island Yara. The main baddie this time around is El Presidente Castillo.
4. Age of Empires 4
Set to be released on October 28, the much-awaited classic has its fans excited. Going by the trailers, the game promises to live up to its classic status as that of Age of Empires 2.
The follow-up has Relic fans hopeful that the adventure will be unmatched in the real-time strategy series.
5. Battlefield 2042
The Near-Future FPS game will be released on October 22 if everything goes as per the plan. This time, FPS has upped the game doubling the number of players in the matches compared to the previous standard version.
Additionally, FPS has added unexpected arms in the match like falling tanks, and this has captured the attention of its loyal fans looking out for the release.
6. Back 4 Blood
The co-op zombie murder game will be launched on October 12. The game from Turtle Rock Studios is expected to be an upgrade of their previous run and gun Zombie co-op.
Turtle Rock never disappoints when it comes to Zombie co-op, and Back 4 Blood is expected to be the real deal. A left 4 Dead game, to be precise, the kind that gets us all excited.
7. Halo Infinite
The chief is back in the highly anticipated infinite game. Though the exact day of release is not given, the FPS series is expected to be released later in the year.
This time the master chief is armed and dangerous with a hook, but the Banished are out for a tangle.
Halo Infinite multiplayer will be free to play while the campaign is to be purchased, as always.
From this list, it’s clear that there is a lot to watch out for in the course of the year for all PC game lovers.
Of course, let’s not forget WoW Classic: The Burning Crusade, which brought back several million players when the Dark Portal was opened on 3rd of June, 2021. While we wait for the release of the other games, it is good to prepare for the Burning Crusade’s second phase by buying some WoW TBC Gold.
