The world-class garden machinery giant Greenworks is launching a range of high performance and durable battery powered garden tools in the UK.

Greenwork’s tools are targeted towards helping garden professionals move away from fossil fuel reliant, non-durable products. The global cordless tools specialist has appointed Ecommerce Marketplace Specialists Optimizon to spearhead its push into the UK and EU markets.

Greenworks is part of the multi-billion dollar company, Globe Tools, which was one of the first to offer world leading cordless products for home and garden. Their batteries incorporate the best cell and electrics technology in the world, and the products are designed for prolonged use – which has already made the brand a favorite in other territories/.

STIHL Partnership

UK consumers may not yet be completely familiar with the brand. However, they are likely to have heard of one of its shareholders, STIHL, supplier of products for professionals in forestry and agriculture, landscape care and the construction industry.

Greenworks uses state of the art technology to deliver the power and performance comparable to fossil fuel powered tools, but without the mess, noxious fumes, stamina-reducing vibration and noise associated with petrol products.

The two companies complement each other in the market for cordless and corded electric power tools and intend to create a cooperative partnership, to maximise synergies and gains in efficiency, development and production of top-end cordless products.

Amazon Marketplace Specialists Optimizon

Greenworks has partnered with  the UK’s leading Amazon Agency, Optimizon, to help increase their online marketplace presence for battery-powered outdoor power tools; both for DIY-consumers and professionals.

Optimizon’s experts plan to grow Greenworks’ visibility on the platform, and roll-out the entire product line to the UK and EU markets via Amazon and eBay. They are working with Greenworks on the Amazon vendor side, using AVS marketing, product launches, DSP and AMS.

Optimizon CEO James Pitts-Drake says ‘Optimizon is very excited to be working with a global leader in the Home DIY and Garden category to fulfil their ambitious targets. It’s clear that the future lies beyond petrol powered equipment and it’s exciting to be part of their expansion into the UK and EU markets.’

‘Greenworks’ high-quality product line speaks for itself, so we are keen to get their brand into a prominent position on Amazon, giving consumers a quality alternative to petrol machinery, as well as delivering a second-to-none brand experience.’

Customers now demand durable non-petrol alternatives

Climate issues combined with current global events have increased the interest in electric powered equipment. Greenworks’ product line of battery-powered cordless outdoor power tools ranges from 24V all the way up to a whopping commercial-grade 82V. They also offer a full line of corded equipment, and cordless appliances for the home and garage including stick vacs and pressure washers.

‘Amazon is the world’s largest online marketplace, which is actively targeting strong brands to directly retail on the platform. There has never been a better time for brands to achieve success on Amazon.’

Greenworks Group Executive Vice President, Simon Del-Nevo added ‘Optimizon is a highly professional organization and we are excited to be working with them to bring our suite of garden tools to the UK and Europe. We are extremely proud of the product range, and we know that customers want future-proof petrol alternatives that are well designed and durable to stand the test of time.’
