When it comes to playing within an online casino site, there’s an array of game categories to choose from, including table games, Slots, Bingo and even Slingo.

With so many choices on offer, we thought it would be a good idea to show you some of the many tabletop games ready and waiting for you to tap play, to help you decide whether table games are a category worth exploring on your next visit to an online casino via your chosen device.

Scroll down to discover some casino classics within the table game tab.

Blackjack

When looking to play a game of online Blackjack at Paddy Power Games, for example, the game objective is the same as what you would find within a brick-and-mortar venue – to beat the dealer’s hand total, without exceeding the total of 21. Let’s talk about the value of the cards first. In a game of Blackjack, one or more decks of 52 cards can be used. The numbered cards hold their own displayed value, for example, the three of hearts holds the value of three. Royals; Jack, Queen and King, all hold the value of ten, whereas the four aces in the pack hold two values – one or eleven – letting you decide which value it holds, to best suit your hand.

Each game begins with two cards being dealt to you and two to the dealer. Yours will be dealt face-up, whilst only one of the dealer’s cards can be seen, as the other will be face-down on the table. You will need to add up the total value of both your cards and decide if it is worth sticking with, or whether you could do with a third card to boost you closer to 21. Once you are happy with your hand, the dealer will then reveal their full hand.

Roulette

Just like Blackjack, whether you play a game of Roulette online or down your local casino venue, a game always consists of the same elements; a Roulette wheel, a corresponding betting table, a small wheel and betting chips. The aim of Roulette is to simply predict which pocketed compartment within the wheel the small ball will land in at the end of the game. Depending on which version of the game you play, depends on the number of pocketed compartments you’ll find within the wheel: European Roulette consists of 37 pockets – numbers one though 36 and a single zero and American Roulette consists of 38 pockets – numbers one through 36, with a single zero and a double zero.

Each game begins with the betting window opening. It is in this timeframe that you must place any and all bets you wish to place for this game. Once the window is closed, the wheel will be spun and the ball entered into play. Once the wheel comes to a complete halt, the location of the ball will be announced and any player who guessed correctly will be awarded their winnings. Those that incorrectly predicted the outcome will see their bets swept off the table, clearing the way for the next game and betting window to open.
