Rail Europe, the global reference brand for European train booking, both for individual travellers and the travel industry anywhere in the world, is pleased to announce the appointment of Klaus Kreher as its new Head of Carriers Management. Klaus brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously held senior leadership positions in the travel and transportation industries.

In his new role, Klaus will manage Rail Europe’s relationship with European train operators, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with existing carriers, and expanding the company’s product offerings by adding new partners to its catalogue.

“Klaus brings invaluable experience and expertise to our team and will play a pivotal role in expanding our carrier partnerships and strengthening our position as a one-stop-shop for train tickets,” said Björn Bender, Rail Europe President & CEO. “His proven track record in managing global carrier relationships and his deep understanding of travel tech companies will be key assets as we continue to grow and evolve our offerings.”

Klaus started his career in tourism and then worked for Deutsche Bahn, where he helped build the first call center outside of Germany. His path then took him into commercial roles with Travelport, the global distribution system, and Trainline, where he managed global carrier relationship.

“I am excited to join Rail Europe and work with this global team to build on the company’s success as the reference brand for European train booking,” said Klaus Kreher. “I look forward to leveraging my experience to drive growth and innovation in our carrier partnerships, enhance our product offerings, and provide an exceptional experience to Rail Europe’s customers.”

Klaus’ appointment is effective immediately. He will be based in Rail Europe’s headquarters in Paris, France.
