Corbel, a leading provider of IT support, Cyber Security and Cloud services, have donated over 150 computers to Tools with a Mission (TWAM), a charity dedicated to providing tools and equipment to underprivileged communities in Africa.
With technology becoming ever more important for education, communication, and economic development, the donation of these computers will have a profound impact on the lives of those who receive them.
The PCs, which are modern and equipped with Windows 10, became available as part of Corbel’s business refresh at one of their workplace recovery sites. The donation was made possible through the connection of Tim Goddard, a Director at Corbel, who is also the Volunteer Rugby Operations Manager for TWAM.
Commenting on the donation, James Noble, Fundraising and Communications Officer at TWAM said: “These computers are a vital tool in our mission to empower and uplift those in need. We are extremely grateful to Corbel for their generous donation, and for continuing to work with us towards a brighter future for all.”
Anyone who has tools to donate to TWAM can visit twam.uk/donatetools, where they will find a list of all the tools that the charity sends, as well as a postcode checker to find the nearest volunteer collector. Those interested in volunteering with TWAM can find information on their dedicated volunteering website, timefortwam.uk.
