The team over at domains and hosting provider Fasthosts is very much used to hearing the question “can you just do it?” when discussing managing IT cloud infrastructure with their clients.
Those cries have not fallen on deaf ears. Behind the scenes, the Fasthosts team has been hard at work developing Fasthosts ProActive, their own managed service that addresses the needs of those consumers.
“Those who use larger, hyperscale managed service providers will know all too well that they often pay for far more than they end up using,” says Orlaith Palmer, Marketing Manager at Fasthosts ProActive. “And when you try and get some help, you either get passed around agent to agent in a call centre, or have to deal with a chatbot. These are the key issues we want to address with ProActive, giving customers a cost effective, personable service that really puts the focus on them.”
DTX is the largest IT and tech event in the North, becoming an integral part of Manchester Tech Week and attracting some of the best in the business to showcase new products and share their knowledge in keynote speeches. Running from 17th-19th May, by making your way to the Fasthosts booth you’ll get the chance to meet the team behind the scenes, and discover the solutions and services that ProActive could provide to help your business. Don’t feel intimidated if cloud infrastructure isn’t your strong suit either, as not only are the team full of knowledge and experience to help with your understanding, but that’s the whole point of the service – they’ll do everything for you!
This theme of helping you get your head around complex topics carries over into their new podcast, ‘Spill the IT’, which aims to answer common IT challenges and cloud services questions without the fluff. With plenty of anecdotes so that you can grow your knowledge in easy to understand chunks, the podcast is a great way to get a feel for the company and its expertise before heading down to see them at the event. Available on Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music, what better way to get your head in the cloud?
Be sure not to miss Fasthosts talk on Wednesday 17th at 12:05pm, “The theory of grief: Elisabeth and the cloud”, where Head of Product and Commercial, Frank Ashworth, discusses the correlation between the five stages of grief to the stages many businesses go through when considering a new cloud environment.  This insightful discussion is set to be an engaging experience that will help you tackle the complex challenges in transitioning a business to the cloud, changing cloud providers or implementing a hybrid environment and come out well and truly on top.
For more details, visit the Fasthosts ProActive website.
