You may believe you know what’s best for your skin, but chances are you’re doing things incorrectly frequently enough to seriously injure it.

In most cases, your skin just keeps getting worse and worse even if you thought you knew what you needed to do to have radiant and healthy skin.

However, research in dermatology has revealed that numerous items that we often overlook can seriously harm our skin. You may be confident that if you follow our recommendations, you will rapidly find a solution to this issue and regain the skin you had when you were fifteen.

Stop making mistakes that could damage your skin permanently and take care of your skin.

Buying Low-Quality Products

We very easily fall into the trap of utilizing too many low-quality products because of their low price, especially those with diverse active components, because we expect results quickly (not to say yesterday).

By doing this, we are harming ourselves.

When purchasing skin care products, it’s important to consider if they will work together or not, the best way to use them, and whether they are intended for the goal we have in mind.

Always make sure you are doing proper research before purchasing a product, and the best way to do this is by reading BrandRated product reviews that way you know exactly what to expect and how the product performs.

In addition, the most crucial factor is that the routine itself is consistent and that it is not forgotten after seven days, aside from the product quality (the criterion of which is not usually merely the price).

Each process requires time.

Not Cleansing Properly

Skincare must wash the face with gel after removing makeup with micellar water. We suggest reserving the use of wet wipes for emergencies only and avoiding using them for regular makeup removal. Make sure to properly wash your face every night before going to bed. No exceptions.

Following that, be sure to apply lotion and remember to wash and take a shower with lukewarm to cold water. Don’t use hot water!

Not Knowing Your Skin Type

Not knowing your skin type can cause you a lot of problems as it leads to choosing the wrong products which are not suitable for you.

If you are not sure how to determine your skin type, it would be best to visit a dermatologist. It is always advisable to have a dermatologist advise you when picking a skin care regimen because there are over-the-counter dermatologist-approved products, but some are too pricey and don’t have the same level of quality as medical-grade skin care products. With the help of a professional, you will learn more about your skin type and use the right products to achieve the desired results.

Over-Exfoliating

Brushes for face wash, liquid exfoliators, peels with balls, at-home chemical peels, retinol…

The skin, its equilibrium, and its protective layer are seriously attacked when these chemicals are present at once. Excessive exfoliating is allegedly the most prevalent mistake people make, according to dermatologists.

Whether it is chemical or mechanical, it invariably results in several undesirable effects, such as zits and spots as well as the emergence of rosacea, particularly if you take any form of medication that affects the skin’s sensitivity

Many persons with extremely dry skin and conditions like eczema mistakenly believe that rigorous exfoliation and the removal of dry layers can alleviate their problems.

Emollient lotions that nourish and protect the skin in this condition are the path to a cure; “peeling” just makes the issue worse.

Tugging On Your Eyes

The skin under the eyes is very sensitive and you need to be very careful while moisturizing it. Even when we are asleep, the eyes remain quite active. Additionally, the skin surrounding the eyes is extremely thin and sensitive (the upper and lower eyelids are the thinnest parts of the skin on the face).

The eyelids are unique in that they lack sebaceous glands, which prevents them from hydrating or getting wet on their own. This indicates that they require external hydration; otherwise, they would remain dry and be deficient in nutrients like collagen, hyaluronan, and water. That is why you need to get special products just for that area of your face, making sure that it is hydrated and taken care of. Invest only in high-quality products.
